Dr. ​Boya Ma, L.Ac., DAOM,  M.S., has lived in the Bay Area since she was a teenager when she came to the United States. She graduated from the University of East-West Traditional Chinese Medicine in Sunnyvale, CA in 2016. After successfully obtaining her California medical license (L.Ac), Dr. Ma was selected as the first international acupuncturist to complete a comprehensive residency program at the prestigious Peking University People’s Hospital in Beijing, China. Dr. Ma has extensive training in advanced techniques of traditional Chinese medicine, covering holistic treatment of all aspects of the human body. She has in-depth knowledge and comprehensive experience with pre-treatment planning, treatment techniques, and post-treatment care of patients whom have chronic pain, depression/anxiety, sports injuries, fertility issues, and much more.

Dr. Ma also has a strong background in mathematics and computer science, which has led her to become one of the innovators in acupuncture in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she utilizes cutting edge techniques that have been proven to decrease complications and improve patients' quality of life.

Maboya Acupuncture's mission is to provide personalized, high-quality care on an as-needed or preventative basis.  We have created a practice that we believe in and choose for our own family members.
